Error log: Repository is archived; should be ignored ?

I received an error log in my HASS log like the one below. It's my impression that it comes from the HACS list of repositories to check/update/track.

Generally, in my opinion, I should not be presented with errors that I can't fix or react to. Therefore, if there is a repository on HACS' list, that is invalid for some reason.. then it shouldn't appear on my system.. at least not like this. I think, "archived repo" is a manageable error, that we can just ignore.

I of course assume that the issue goes away by itself, as the erroneous repository is eventually removed from HACS list. :)

Describe the bug

I received a log message stating:

I believe it comes from these lines: https://github.com/hacs/integration/blob/bd9b5bdca293c0cb9224563177dbf8119bda4d09/custom_components/hacs/helpers/validate_repository.py#L41-L43

HACS won't update past 1.15 - I understand I need to update it manually, but how?

I'm having issues updating HACS via HACS updates. I've searched and found that #2464 solves this but I don't know how to update HACS manually, can someone help?

Thanks

I'm not sure, but I believe this issue was solved in version 1.20.0 (#2464)
Unfortunately because of issue #2556 you can not update past 1.19.3 using the normal update method at the moment.

oAuth validation not working from HA app

using HA version
Home Assistant 2022.12.8
Supervisor 2022.11.2
Operating System 9.4
Frontend 20221213.1 - latest

iOS app version
2022.10.1

issue encountered:
When using the HA iOS app and attempting to install/register the HACS integration at the point that the integration gives the code for github device oAuth. I can successfully authorize the oAuth token and github gives me the “Your all set page” but retuning to the HA app just shows the same screen waiting for activation and never progresses, waited more than 15 min.

Once I logged into the HA server with a web browser it worked as documented.

HACS forwarding to old "system page"

Hi, after updating one of my integrations installed by HACS, I've noticed that the link which will navigate to the restart option of HomeAssistant seems to link to an older, no longer existing URL...

/config/server_control

using the link just showed an empty page without any further content.

Auto-removal on archived packages should absolutely NOT be the default path

I'm referring to this PR: #1373

There was no warning, no deprecation notice, no nothing. HACS just automatically removed packages in which my setup relies heavily on. This is not good user experience and I'm a bit set back by just how bad this was handled.

Might I suggest you properly indicate when packages have been archived to allow people chance to prepare for breaking changes instead of having them automatically removed from our configurations? Or give people the ability to keep what is already installed, installed with proper warnings or indications that there will no longer be updates?

This whole process really needs some well documented steps and expectations moving forward.

SO, you're saying that although it was updated yesterday, because there was no new version released there was no updated but it tells me that there was an update to the repository anyway? Why do I need to know this? I've been trying for hours to figure out how things were auto-updating but it turns out that the Updated column is just misleading.
