Implement a server keepalive mechanism
In the API version 0.1 the configured servers availability aren't tested so
commands sent to a unavailable server will just timeout and subsequent
commands can be send to the same 'offline' server.
It's interesting to have a 'keepalive' mechanism to periodically test
server availability and manipulate the server status to avoid commands to
be sent to it. The mechanism should reactive the servers when it get
available again.
