activitymap's Issues

How to specify initial height of calendar to match data size?

When the calendar initially renders, it is approximately 10px tall. How can I tell the calendar to render tall enough to fit the entire data set? Right now I have this hard-coded to 33ems, so that it fits around one year in the calendar view.

How to re-render map when data changes?

I have a heat map that renders when the page initially loads. At a later point, the data can be updated from a parent data context. I have verified that the data is changed up to the point of rendering the ActivityMap. However, the final piece is to get the ActivityMap to refresh with the updated data.

How can I tell the ActivityMap instance to re-render with the new data (without refreshing the page)?

Display one year as continuous strip?

Is it possible to display the activity heatmap in a continuous band, showing around one year of activity? I.e. this is how Github displays commit activity on a user profile.

Translating the heatmap

We are making an application primarily oriented towards Finnish users. As such, we will need to translate the UI texts, including the heatmap, to Finnish. How can we translate the UI texts for the heatmap?

Add timestamp format requirement to documentation.

I have an array of objects containing a field for time. The time field contains a date object, but the calendar does not seem to render correctly. How should this date object be formatted to get the calendar to render?

Idea: coloring based on percentile, quartile, and/or standard deviation

What would be necessary to create an option, e.g. 'breaks', for selecting how to align the data and color spectrum divisions? Specifically, I would like to divide the data/color gradient along some derived statistical boundaries such as percentile or standard deviations (perhaps passed in as an array of breakpoints). I can provide the data breakpoints, but am not sure how to enable the breakpoint selection key in the ActivityMap library.
