campaign-combiner's Issues

Conditional logic on inclusion/exclusion

Submitted by a user:
When excluding campaigns in Campaign Combiner, we've found that if an individual is in multiple campaigns (including the one we're excluding) their name is completely excluded. We were trying to create an email campaign that excludes some campaigns but includes others, so if an individual is in both a campaign we want to include and one we want to exclude, their name is excluded entirely. Is there a way to get around this, some rule that would direct the program to exclude members of a certain campaign UNLESS they were in an included campaign? Thanks so much!

campaign lookup improvement

The interface for selecting a campaign is old and tired (main problem is you have to select first and then click add). We have long proposed replacing it with an autocomplete box or some other control.

Long lists of `status` options may exclude the member statuses for the campaigns you're working with

We're trying to use campaign combiner to exclude members of another campaign with a specific status. However, it seems like our Salesforce system has too many campaign statuses for Campaign Combiner to handle, as the one we want to use doesn't show up in the (~163 item long) list of statuses in the selector.

The campaign we're trying to filter based on status only has 14 campaign member statuses, but the list of options is overwhelmed with statuses used in other unrelated campaigns.

Unable to queue batch processing error

Error getting thrown. See attached image. http://code.google.com/p/groundwire-salesforce-campaign-combiner/issues/detail?id=1

Reported as an occasional error with no predictable steps to repro.

Waiting on info from the reporter on repro guesses.

No packages out of the ordinary really. It seems to only be happening when we are trying to combine multiple campaigns into one campaign. I think it may have to do with individuals that are members of multiple originating campaigns; but there hasn't been a clear pattern. Typically, if I try it a second time it will work.

handle "too many concurrent batch jobs" error

Because of the Apex limit for batches, it is possible for an org with a lot of records to hit a batch error by running five big CC jobs in a row. Here is the error that they get, and we get it too.

Apex script unhandled exception by user/organization: 00530000006NZCU/00D30000001FZ8R
Visualforce Page: /apex/gwcc__campaignCombiner
caused by: System.LimitException: Attempted to schedule too many concurrent batch jobs in this org (limit is 5).
Class.GWCC.GW_CTRL_CampaignCombiner.combine: line 397, column 1

Ideally, we would handle this error and present a decent explanation to the end user.
