3D ray casting entity issues

Hi Griffpatch, I've been following along with your ray casting tutorials and am on episode 3, however my entity won't stay in the right place or stay the right size. i have watched back through several times but i just can't figure out what is wrong, everything seems to be exactly as it is in the tutorial. any ideas to help fix this?

! SUGGESTION !

Griffpatch wrote:
You can contact me via twitter, via github, on my youtube channel or through facebook, but I don't give out my email address, thanks<

Why don't you make another one on yahoo so everyone can contact you for things such as collabs, suggestions, or requests?

Box2D Concave objects broken

Hey griffpatch. I've noticed your Box2D physics extension can't handle the polygon collision type anymore, so concave objects don't work properly. Can you fix it so the extension supports concave objects again?

Contacting Griffpatch

I know this isn’t where I should put this stuff, but it’s the closest I could find to contacting Griffpatch. I know he’s very busy. I get that. I even get not sharing your email, even if you could just let all the emails go to spam. But just getting to mention- maybe even get a response- on a collaboration idea I have would be nice. Lemme know if there’s a less annoying way of contacting him. (yes, sure, there’s twitter (x), facebook, scratch forum posts and youtube comment sections, but we all know those won’t work)

It is an invitation (Sorry for bothering)

It is an invitation. Sorry for bothering you by sending an issue, but I just don't know where to contact you...

Dear Griffpatch:
We are hosting a Scratch Game Jam with 855 people participating so far. And we sincerely invite you to get involved as one of the judges.
Please allow me to introduce myself first. I'm a Scratcher from China, who used to be active on the Scratch community (Here's my personal homepage) and now I'm mainly active in Chinese Scratch communities.
In January, I participated in the Game Jam hosted by CCW (short for Cocreate World, a Scratch community in China) with the theme of "Challenge Accepted", in which my team made a project and won the gold medal. And now I am cooperating with CCW to host the second Game Jam as the Owner.
Your Scratch projects and tutorials are very popular in China and have been helping many Scratchers a lot and convincing us of the infinite possibilities of Scratch. Besides, you are the most well-known foreign Scratcher in the Chinese Scratch community. If you were so kind as to accept the invitation, the Chinese participants would probably jump out of their skin and give you a crazy welcome!
By the way, the Game Jam is non-profit, with the aim of creating an open Scratch society and unleashing everyone's creativity. What's more, CCW is now creating a powerful Scratch mod - Gandi IDE (Click here for more information if you are interested), which is featured by real-time collaboration and rich extensions. And we believe that it will be a great help to the participants in the coming Game Jam.
Though the main language used in this Game Jam is Chinese, we can translate the details of the Jam for you, including the subsequent entries.
Our Jam is scheduled to begin on July 22, end on August 6, and announce the results on August 12. If you participate as a judge, you need to experience the demos and make some suggestions during the Jam (between July 22 and August 6), experience the final projects after submission, and rate the entries according to criteria (Aug. 6 to Aug. 12). It would be nice of you if you could record a reaction video about the entries provided you have the time.
If you would like to participate or have any other questions, please feel free to contact me. If you can't participate, please let me know, that's OK.
Hope you have a nice weekend. :)

Yours sincerely,

Arkos (or lanluzhifeng)

A few issues

On your website it says "Griffpatch
I'm hosted with Github Pages.". Did you do that on purpose?
Websites should look something like this.
Your website also doesn't have any security so hackers can see what other people are doing on it.

not enough swag

Griffpatch

I'm hosted with GitHub Pages.

this is literally the entire site

pls add more swag

griffpatch plz explain

(this is a reference to this and this and also other stuff)
(I basically make this as the first issue on my friends' repositories that are [mostly] empty)

Hey Griffpatch

Griffpatch Help!!

Hey griffpatch. I need help for my game. I need help so I can create a button with visual affects. It will be a game like Pressing under pressure. I created the start I just need the help for the button and the other things.
Thanks.

Hey griffpatch I was just wondering if you could make a tutorial video on player animations for scrolling platforms (The sprites feet moving as it runs/moves) please I am trying to create a game but using the 0.1 second

Hey griffpatch I was just wonderingly if it isn’t possible for you to explain through a tutorial video or even just by getting back to me, how to add player animations to scrolling platformers by that’s I mean the player moves and the legs move with it.
I tried the 0.1 second switch costume method but it’s terrible and the legs don’t automatically stop moving along when I stop, please get back to me

Scratch Space Shooter Game Small Asteroids Disappearing.

Hi Griffpatch.
I have recently been making a scratch space shooter game with your YouTube tutorials, most things are working as normal but I do have one big problem with the wrap around for the asteroids, everything seems to be working fine for the bigger asteroids but for the small ones they will wrap around twice and then they will disappear, this is very problematic for my scoring system because if an asteroid is lost then the player will never be able to destroy it and they will be stuck in the level. do you know what might be going wrong here?

New tutorial

I want to know when you will make a new video on your YouTube channel, I’ve been waiting for the cloud game tutorial that will smooth things up

Hello

Hi,Griffpatch. Are you the greatest programmer in scratch? Are you you?

School Scratch Project

Hey Griffpatch, I need an outside expert for a school project. I am working on a scratch project about global warming. Do you mind helping? Also, is there any other way to contact you?

Sorry I'm Annoying.

I'm For Annoying you by doing this there just is a game I Wanted You To Play That I Made And Its Made For You And It Is Easy To Make It Detects If You (Griffpatch) Are Playing And if You Played It Says That You Played The Game, I Totally Understand If You Hate e For This. This Is The Game, https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/673881035/

Getting over it v1.4

Hey Griffpatch,

So someone named @xcu on Scratch used scratch2py to hack the cloud variable so they're in first place with a time of 0:00. Is it possible for you to fix that in the cloud variables and make a minimum time of, say, 25 seconds so people like that can't hack it again? This is a petty issue, but a lot of people are getting frustrated with that because they're taking up a slot in the TOP 25.

Thanks!

Sincerely,
MINGCHIGO

sneak peek?

Hello griffpatch!
What are you planning on making next?
We really like your projects!

Hi Griffpatch

This is a more relaxed place, isn't it?
I just wanna say I love your work, both your Scratch games as well as Scratch Addons. You truly made Scratch a better place for all. You deserve every follow.

I need help

Hi griffpatch, I don't have access to any of the other ways to contact you so i'm using github.

I have a game (https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/468362326/) and i managed to fix online battle royale but when I tried to add stuff, it broke. It keeps making loads of clones and making it laggy. in the crazy copter sprite there is code [forever do] if you click that it makes 3 players so you can test it. please could you help me or download it and fix it then email it to me at [email protected]. Please please help, there is no one else good enough to help and I know you have experience with multiplayer games.

Scratch Addons

@griffpatch, I have a question. On the Platformer Video on YouTube, you said you used a scratch addon to clean up blocks. I had it but yours could do columns but I can't. Do you know why? Thanks!

Hi Griffpatch, Coding Issue

Sorry to bother you griffpatch. I am a fan of your work, love your projects so much I got geometry dash on my calculator. So, I've been working on a game for a few months now, its a remastered version of one of my old games, and I wanted to incorporate an autosave feature to the cloud. I tried using it with lists so that if the game recognizes a username, it sets the score to the list. I realized this didn't work due to scratch's only number cloud variables. Can you help me? This is my project. Thanks a ton, Ducki. https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/677581954/
