I'm Goel! A postgraduate Artificial Intelligence student with a background in Computer Science, at the University of Plymouth, and software engineering at several companies/organisations.

Add memory to the skill

In order to save the birthday information from the user, we need to store the information we receive persistently.

Acceptance criteria:

• Allow for the birthday information to be saved on Amazon S3
• Alow for us to read the stored birthday information
• Allow for the birthday information to be deleted or reset

Use Alexa Settings API to calculate birthday

The Alexa Settings API needs to be used in order to calculate the birthday information stored from the user.

Acceptance criteria:

• Use the API to get the date/timezone information
• Calculate the difference between current date and the next user birthday

Greet the user

As a reply to when the user invokes the application, greet the user.

Acceptance criteria:

• Greets the user back by welcoming them to the Cake Walk application.

Ask user for Birthday

The application should be able to ask the user for their birthday and be able to capture the response from the user.

Acceptance criteria:

• Ask user a question
• Listen for the answer
• Respond to the user

Add in base skill code

Add in the code generated by the Alexa Skill.
