I think that this goes away with the UI redesign, but I do understand that it makes sense for this project.

At least the status field was added. It's not yet configurable which fields are there yet, but perhaps that can be longer term as you said.

It only adds the status field if one is configured to show up (no sense showing fields that will never show up).
