In that case you could enable exon resizing as soon as a transcript is created in the edit track, right? Will do away with an additional step for those who know exon need not be selected for resizing.

I think this is still a valid issue. You should not be allows to resize the feature after unselecting it.
The behavior changed since the last version but this new behavior is unexpected

I believe that's the behavior that's always been there, it was just less
noticeable before since a selected exon lost the resize capability after
the original resize. I'll look at it and see how to proper handle this.
