Hi,

I really not sure that I'm doing it right, however I have to ask;
To sideload 'Extractor.epub', I dragged and dropped book/ directory of these repository. Then try to double click to open then these errors occurred.

I'm not sure that 'Extractor.epub' is that I moved? Moreover, I couldn't get where should I enter the name as written in readme;

• Enter the name into the 'File name' box on Extractor.epub. Then click 'Extract'.

Found the file in Public Shared, but the extractor still isn't finding it or finding it valid.

"Did not find valid EPUB with that name. Please check that you've typed the name right and have opened the book at least once this session."

I've opened it at least once, can find the physical file myself, and still no dice. I'm going to attempt to put in the entire location...see what happens.

pointless - author is gone and ignores issues.

When processing my vbk file, Extractor freezes and shows the following message: "Transferring Misc/MyriadPro-SemiboldIt.woff"

I get an error when entering my filename and clicking "Extract."

"Failed to parse package file"

Hi! Thanks for writing this. I've tried to run it on a book, and it appears to be stuck at the first step. It wouldn't take the filename alone at first, so I input the entire path instead, and that at least got me to this step.

Is there a debug option so I can see where it's getting stuck, or if it's just taking a long time to process? I see some debug folder on the repository, but I'm not sophisticated enough to know how to build and/or try it.

I am using it on Mac 10.15.4 with Bookself 901.0.1222, it just hang on Validating EPUB...

I think there was a change in the server configuration recently. New books purchased from august until now cannot be downloaded. Please, could you confirm this?

I followed the instructions and did the following:

I made sure that my .vbk file is in fact a epubbook by hovering over it in Bookshelf (Format: epubbook).
I got the filename with same method (VBID: 97819)

I loaded Extractor.epub into folder C:\Users\Public\Documents\Shared Books\VitalSource Bookshelf\VitalBook Library

I opened my .vbk file and opened the Extractor.epub during the same season.

I entered "97819.vbk" into Extract field and received following error: "Did not find valid EPUB with that name. Please check that you've typed the name right and have opened the book at least once this session."

Am I missing something or is it a genuine issue?

When I run the extractor, it creates an empty epub, with title Extrator.epub and saying
"Extracts content from VitalSource EPUBBooks in conjunction with Extractor.epub Backend".

The folder created named after the VBID has the expected structure, but it corresponds with an empty epub. For example, table-of-contents.xhtml has only an item called Extractor.epub.

Although I entered the correct VBID, it does the same if I enter a non-existing VBID. The result is the same.

Thank you very much for putting this tool together. Some of the books in my library return the error message: "Did not find valid EPUB with that name. Please check that you've typed the name right and have opened the book at least once this session."

I'm not sure why the process works for some books but not for others. Is there more than one way to do this right?

I just tried this with the latest version of Vitalsource Bookshelf 7.6.0 (4) on Windows 7. The Extrator.epub seems to get stuck on "Processing... Validating EPUB"

When I open extractor.epub i get the message, "You do not have a license for this book. This title may be available for purchase online."

I'm running VitalSOurce Bookshelf 5.6 on Mac OS 10.9.5.

Any advice?
