Low USB power -> CRC error

There is a strange problem when reading the FSL2 on my notebook computers:
I send the $history command via hid_console tool and everything works fine, as long as the power supply of my notebook is plugged in.
But when my notebook is in battery mode, the tool always rises the exception checksumerror.
Tested on Windows 10 and 11, the problem can be reproduced.
It seems, that the data stream will be corrupted due to not sufficent power on the USB port.
Is there a way to force power supply of the USB port ? Or maybe it would help to enhance timeout and/or add any delay times ?

Has the syntax changed between L1 and L2?
What would happen if I upgraded a L1 reader to make it L2 compatible?
BTW, the udev rule needs to match 1a61:3950 (for the L2 reader)
