Task Manager

A web-based task management application that allows users to create, categorize, and manage tasks efficiently. The application includes features such as user authentication, task categorization, and a priority matrix.

Installation

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.6+
  • Virtualenv (recommended)

Steps

  1. Clone the repository:

    git clone https://github.com/YOUR_GITHUB_USERNAME/YOUR_REPOSITORY_NAME.git
    cd YOUR_REPOSITORY_NAME

Create and activate a virtual environment:

source venv/bin/activate  # On Windows use `venv\Scripts\activate`
Install the dependencies:

pip install -r requirements.txt
Set up environment variables:

Create a .env file in the root directory with the following content:

Initialize the database:

flask db init
flask db migrate -m "Initial migration."
flask db upgrade
Run the application:

flask run
The application will be available at http://127.0.0.1:5000.

Usage
Register a new user or log in with an existing account.
Add tasks using the "Add a new task" button.
Categorize tasks by dragging and dropping them into the desired category.
Manage tasks by marking them as complete or deleting them.
