If you need a newer version of pulseaudio you can utilize the CosmicMod Overlay. This is needed for newer Intel and Realtek audio hardware. You will know if you need to do this as you probably will have no sound. Run the block script below as su - or edit the script to suit your liking. I haven't checked the script below for typos.
