src_check is to aggressive about genometools

Could you elaborate on where the word 'long' is a problem? I only see warnings regarding line length and format strings when I run src_check on the sources.

there was one printf that used something like "seq "GT_LU" is "GT_LU" long"
I changed that to sth like "length of "GT_LU": "GT_LU so no problem right now.
I vote for leave it as is and handle it if someone realy needs the word long in some printout.

So that means that currently it is not allowed to use the word "long" in a string?! I'd consider that a little too restrictive. I'll have a look at the src_check rule then.

Hmm, I do not see anything wrong with the rule, which complains when 'long' is used for casting ((long)) or when used to define a pointer (long*). Can you remember what the original context was? Your example above does not trigger the problem.
