I suppose the GT_LU was chosen ad-hoc to signify that this macro can simply be used where a lu was used before. For consistency reasons, I would agree with you.

I just did the renames, but cannot commit right now as I first have to fix lots of src_check issues (too long lines) that I assume are still a result of prior renames, but were not checked yet. I'll push these when I have more time.
