An example using Core MIDI with Swift 3.

There are also two hacky Playgrounds. One works. The other one tries to create an input port and fails. (makes sense actually)

Meta text events are a mess with that tuple nonsense. That will be another blog post.

I'm using the Fluid R3 GM Sounfont in this example. Use whatever Soundfont you like. (GeneralUser GS 1.442 has many problems)

Blog post for this example.

MidiNetworkSession

Hi ,
Is there a way to send Midi events thru the Midi Network Session ?
Midi CC and notes pass only thru Swift3Midi.virtual port.

Working with CoreMIDI in Playgrounds

Is it possible to work with CoreMIDI within a Swift 3 playground? I have adapted your code for a playground and seem to be able create a client and detect when new devices are added and disconnected, but once I have created an input port with MIDIInputPortCreateWithBlock and connected it to the available sources using MIDIPortConnectSource, I don't receive any MIDI packets to myMIDIReadBlock. The same code works fine in an iOS app, but running in a playground nothing happens.
