Your comment makes sense. However, looking at the code for the create_history method (https://github.com/afgane/bioblend/blob/master/bioblend/galaxy/histories/__init__.py#L21), it just returns the results of a POST request. What does Galaxy return without going through BioBlend? I guess I'll try it myself too and we can go from there. Consistency makes most sense so I believe your suggestion will need to be implemented regardless...
Thanks for bringing this up.

Having looked into this a bit, the plan is to change how Galaxy's API is structured so it's more consistent and representative of the expected return value. So, if an item like history is being created, a single history element will be returned. If we're querying for available histories, a list will be returned. Structuring this like so within Galaxy is planned so I feel it's best if BioBlend follows along rather than converting outputs. It does mean that for the time being, we may see some inconsistency but hopefully your comment will speed things up.

Seems like a good plan to me. Thanks for looking into it.
