For some reason the python 3.4 package is failing to install in debootstrap. Not sure of the reason yet but I have a workaround in place for now with apt-get install -y -f

Just a heads up that the Ubuntu repo has bmaptools v2.x which does not work with your .bmap file. Need to add "deb http://download.tizen.org/tools/latest-release/Ubuntu_14.04 /" to sources.list, run apt-get update, and then apt-get install "bmap-tools".

It might be a good idea to use the Flash Friendly Filesystem instead of Ext4 since we're running on an SD card.

'ubuntu' is boring. Something Raspberry Pi related would be better.

There seems to be a memory leak with the default irqbalance version.

This was fixed in 1.0.7 so I've packaged 1.0.9 in my PPA here

This needs some testing but I plan on adding this PPA and upgrading irqbalance on the next image release.

Look into porting this over from Raspbian. It would be nice to have some of the functionality.

There needs to be a lot of documentation on this image as well as installation instructions etc.

Use fake-hwclock to provide an RTC.

The timezone is not configured. Either set the timezone to something (which one?) or better, offer to configure it on first login.

Make sure all the necessary tools are installed at the beginning of the script.

Add and configure dphys-swapfile to the image.

It's kind of kludgy to have the configs in the script itself. Split them out into individual files. Make sure they have the right permissions when they are added to the chroot.

linux-firmware and wpasupplicant are missing from the image. This breaks the wifi

The default username ubuntu is boring. It should be something Raspberry Pi themed. It would also be good to use a similar themed password.
