Even though I import nixos-unstable-small as my package set it's still internally using nixpkgs as the main packages.
I found this out by updating the flake inputs one after another and only updating nixpkgs had an effect on my system.

I've been trying to change my emacs profile's package to emacsGcc but it cannot be found in the package set. However when typing $ nix search self emacsGcc the package can be found. Probably related to #2

Currently all my home specific things are in users. This should be moved to home most likely. In there I should create a modules and profiles directory. Both of these should automatically be included in the home-manager.user.${name}.imports section. Then to activate a profile all one would have to do is select profile.${name}.enable.

This contrasts with the current workflow where a profile has to first be imported and then the program has to be enabled with programs/service.${name}.enable. Basically the goal is to reduce the required manual imports to nothing and simplify enabling a profile.
