GitLab plugin for iocage
Was delighted to get gitlab up and running so easily on freenas 11.2. This plugin appears to be installing 10.7.5. Current version is 11.1.1 I believe, any chance in updating the plugin to support that version? I tried looking through the template to find where the install is actually done so I could possibly do a pr but it didnt pop out to me.
After installation through the web ui, when i open gitlabs IP to manage it, only thing i get is 502 error:
''
Whoops, GitLab is taking too much time to respond.
Try refreshing the page, or going back and attempting the action again.
Please contact your GitLab administrator if this problem persists.
''
During the installation the dialog also shows a few messages in the post install script, such as not existing --har option and some more. However no clue which are critical and which are not
Overview
Platform: Generic
Version: TrueNAS-12.0-U6.1
HostName: truenas.local
Uptime: 1:14 as of 18:35
Error: gitlab had a failure Exception: RuntimeError Message: pkg error: - gitlab-ce : Refusing to fetch artifact and run post_install.sh! Partial plugin destroyed
I've installed the latest version of this plugin and got errors when trying to create projects. As far as I can tell this is happening because gitaly.socket is not present in /usr/local/www/gitlab-ce/tmp/sockets/private/
Is this the right place to open a ticket or is this caused somewhere upstream?
i install gitlab whit this command
iocage fetch -P --name gitlab ip4_addr=" bce1 | 172.16.16.32/21" --branch 'master'
the ip and sub its ok
this is the message:
Plugin: GitLab Official Plugin: True Using RELEASE: 11.2-RELEASE Using Branch: master Post-install Artifact: https://github.com/freenas/iocage-plugin-gitlab.git These pkgs will be installed: - www/gitlab-ce - databases/postgresql95-server - databases/postgresql95-contrib - www/nginx gitlab is already running!
if i go in the jail shell show this:
jexec: jail_attach(31): Not a directory
I was able to re-install gitlab based on 12.2-RELEASE on TrueNas Core 12.0 Based on this guide.
The only changes were to add the jail ip in the host (gitlab.yml)
And enabling the sshd service for ssh cloning of the repos!
It has boosted the speed and very very responsive now :)
