An additional picture of what makes me believe these changes to the outline are valid (from the Verge article):
from expansionbay.
I overlayed them in an image editor and there seem to be a few minor changes.
As expected, the interface connector changed (the verge mentioned they used a temporary one for the shell), the left fan header moved a bit, and the PCB shape changed a bit.
But the top confuses me. None of the three holes are screwed in, which means they are likely not responsible for the port cover mounting. And the middle screw is not used either, so is it solely for the PCB to use, in case it goes beyond the shell bounds?
This would be beneficial since we could then ignore the side screws and use a 100mm wide board, which is a LOT cheaper at e.g. jlcpcb.
But then why does the current PCB evade that screw hole?
Additionally, it seems there is still quite a bit of space between the PCB edge and the port cover, so we'd definitely need details or we'd have completely recessed ports
Again thanks for any additional information
