The .lvbitx file contains a Xilinx Vivado binary file, which the same as a bitstream file only without the header. It would be nice to be able to create a header which would be enough to get updatemem to process the binary file without having to provide the original bitstream.

It appears to me that the bitstream header is a variable length specification and that always selecting offset 0xa8 will at some point fail.
