Installation

brew install py2cairo
pip install -r requirements.txt

You will probably need to set the PORT in device.py, as well as the UP and DOWN pen positions:

Problems with running examples / installation

Thanks a lot for creating this software!

I had a few initial problems setting this up on my machine:

macOS 10.13.3
Python 2.7.10

I was getting these errors:

• NameError: global name 'numpy' is not defined
• ImportError: No module named cairo

What I had to do to make some of the examples work:

• pip install numpy
• pip install cairocffi and change import cairo in drawing.py to import cairocffi as cairo

Could you add some instructions on how to install and use your code, please?

What I've done so far (without luck) is:

1. I uploaded firmware.ino to my plotter (Orion based)
2. Run python test.py

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "test.py", line 3, in <module>
    import xy
  File "/Users/violeta/fogleman/xy/__init__.py", line 5, in <module>
    from gcode import GCode
ImportError: No module named gcode

Please add a license.

There are a bunch of gems in this repo, and I'd really like to clone it and tweak parts of it for my own side projects. However, I feel bad doing so without a license. Could you please add one?
