Implement our own calendar solution. Biggest advantage is more flexibility, for instance attend lists wouldn't require a second login to Google (that's why we don't have them at the moment).

Only big win for using Google Calendar is the fact that events pop up in your calendar. In order to compensate that, if you click attend in the new solution, you get a link to a calendar invite that you can import into your personal Google Calendar (one click away). This also filters out of your calendar events you are not interested in.

Enhancement so that it is easy to create scripts / plugin in any language, that can register as listeners / plugins, that receive content from the chat system, and have logic that in turn affects the chat room.

Ex :
Create some python script that scraps weather data and prints nice weather data for tomorrow.
This can easily be registered with the app and is persistent, listens for inputs and provides data.

So it can be easy to implement all sorts of commands like this instead of hardcoding it in JS.
