This is super annoying. Floomatic sends a blank file for a bit. :(

Windows - Disconneting because invalid username or secret

On windows there seems to be an issue connecting to floobits. The username from my .floorc file gets appended with a \r

DEBUG 2014-01-29 10:11:18 writing to conn: {"username":"_\r","secret":"__","room":"MeetingBroker_INNBOX","room_owner":"_***","client":"floomatic","platform":"win32","supported_encodings":"utf8","base64"],"version":"0.03"}

[Request] host your own workspace

this is another tackle at the problem of the cloud.

as you know from an earlier issue, I have a repo that's now over 200MB in size containing alot of documentation along with the source that's actively worked on.

well as you can guess, I can't afford to pay for expansions, but I can afford to host my own server.

so this request goes towards using floomatic to host my workspace with as much "cloud" space as I need.
for example, I could host my workspace from say tcll5850.net/projects/python/UGE/
(of course it's not an actual address yet, but you get the idea)

Question: Would it be possible to use floomatic for remote development?

I've been trying to get remote development working with SublimeText.

I've tried sftp and found the performance wasn't very good. I've was reading about rsync and read it doesn't perform well either. I have however used Floobits in the past with very good performance.

I'm trying to work out, would it be possible to:

  • Run floomatic on the server (files wouldn't be modified directly here)
  • Run floobits in Sublime on the client (this is where files would be modified, and Git integration occurs)
  • Connect it all up

It seems that Floobits isn't really a thing anymore, so is that possible given the repositories that you've got as open source? I'm wondering how I'd setup the server etc. Does your license allow it?

Floomatic pushes changes too fast

I'm working with vim and when I save a file floomatics pushes a "file deleted" event and the file is removed from my web viewer.

Something also happened out of order and it crashed:

 __ERROR__ Tue Dec 10 2013 11:13:00 GMT-0500 (EST) You were disconnected because Your client tried to patch a buffer that doesn't exist

Error const events

/usr/local/lib/node_modules/floomatic/lib/floo_connection.js:3
const events = require("events");
^^^^^

Floomatic not pushing local changes

Floomatic is not pushing local saves to files. I am currently using brackets to save files.

I have installed npm floomatic -g. It is connecting but when I save locally it doesn't watch the files.
