Yep, most certainly the FFC kernel cache in this case.

So I think what you're really saying is "we need to be smarter about caching FFC generated code"? Note also that this is not a Firedrake but a PyOP2 issue.

We think we've fixed this, it was a bug in Fabio's ffc ast generation.
