You could just do an s3 sync from s3 into the local templates folders when the jupyter app loads right before. Could also write a background cron that keeps it synced on schedule

Ohhh that's a fair point. My thought/Code might be slower too depending how often people refresh not to mention the cost of having to read each time too. Yeaahhh closing this. It's easier to just manually download to disk once or have users do w.e custom shannanigans they want.

I do see there an issue for using git repo, I'll prob give that a shot using gitpython maybe do the cloning if not exist
