Correct handling of the Split View

Currently when the tab is split vertically or horizontally, the new tab appears on the Vertical Tabs view. Navigation work correct, but when closing is done, then the standard functionality to show again editor in split view, does not work directly. You need to call it twice.

Ideas:

1. Set preference to allow developers to decide if split view should be shown as two separate tabs o one single tab pointing to original
2. In case of showing two tabs, marking of split view tab should be done to be clear which editor we're pointing (top, down, left, right)

Add the new column “Path” to the tabs view

Sometimes several files have the same names (e. g. PSR-4):

So it will be useful to see paths of the tab files too.

I think this column should be optional, so the issue should be done after #41.

Add ctrl+double click to open object in another project

Hej Łukasz,

This is enhancement request.
I was wondering, if it would be feasible/doable to add an option to ctrl+double click on opened tab to show the window for selecting another project (same functionality as in Favourites extension)? It would be great if there was an option to quickly open same object in another system instead of using Open in Project from code view.

Another thing - do you think it would be possible to somehow hide the tabs above the editor, when using Vertical Tabs?

Add the ability to customize table columns

I don't need the “C” column because i use hotkey or mouse middle click. Also i don't need the “Project” column.

So it will be cool to customize columns in the tabs view.

Add the ability to archive a group of tabs

Sometimes i need to close all tabs in a group but later i need to restore all closed tabs.

So it will be very useful to do it in “one click” through the plugin:

1. Right click on a group → Archive → All group tabs have closed.
2. Right click on an archived group → Restore → All group tabs have opened in required order.

Add possiblity to sort also by Editor type

The sequence could be:

• Editor type (ID)
• Name
• Project
• Sort index (used in manual sort)

Feature: Focus search bar in view

First of all great work, thank you very much for your effort.

It would be great if there would be a keyboard shortcut to switch to the VerticalTab view and focus the search bar.
After that I would be able to enter some part of the name, press enter and the first entry would gain the focus and switch (back) to the editor.
So I'm able to quickly switch between many open editors.

Pinned tabls close

If I have pinned tabs and I open another tab that is not pinned, closing this last tab removes the pinned tabs from the list.

Create Filtered Tree for plugin

Add preferences to setup if we want to use single-click or double-click to navigate to tab.

Currently when you select tab in the Vertical Tabs view, the editor is automatically activated and the focus is moved to Editor. It works like this during the manual sorting and grouping as well.

With the preferences setup, user will be able to decide how he prefers to do navigation and view handling.
