I am wondering if the javascript API would be available also in child iframes (especially in the cross-origin or cross-site case) and how that would interact with top-level documents.

If a cross-site iframe with url frameA embedded in a page with url pageA calls the Javascript API to register an invalidation trigger, would that apply to pageA? Or would that rather apply to urlA when loaded as a top-level document?

Would it just be better to restrict the javascript API to top-level documents?
