I'm not sure on how to describe it, so here's a video to explain it.

Just mentioning (you might already know this), that there is another person working on similar project: lsp-snippet

The error recorded is with bash-language-server (link) using eglot and corfu.

When trying to expand templates provided by terraform-ls I get the following:

resource "${1}" "name" {
  ${3}
}

Based on yasnippet behaviour it starts with name, then ${1} then ${3}. In eglot-tempel only name prompts for template expansion which leads to LSP failing to complete the values in ${1} since ${3} is invalid content.

${...} is valid string interpolation in HCL which may be part of the issue but I'm not sure.

I thought without yasnippet, eglot wouldnt complete the snippets from lsp.

Someone from matrix, posted this, and voila, works like charm with tempel! Just as i wanted!

I was on the verge to open issue with eglot or either ask minad for the support.
And here you sir, have done the job!

I recommend you to add about this package to corfu's and tempel's readme.

There could be someone who might encounter this issue, so..

Add this package to Melpa (easy to discover)
