window-buttons-with-title's Issues

Applet doesn't show

I've tried the applet in my system
OS: Linux Mint 19.2 Tina
Cinnamon 4.2.4
But he doesn't show after adding it.
It also show an error when adding it but fixes itself when restarting cinnamon.

Request: Applet should preserve its space even when buttons are hidden (SOLVED)

Thank you for your grate applet.

I just have a minor request.
I use the option : "Show applet only active window maximized"

It works fine (after fixing the Desktop issue I already commented on other issues reports), but

If I place your applet on the far right of the panel, all applets jump left and right every time the buttons show or hide.

The request is to make the width the applet occupies to be fixed (not shrink and enlarge), so every time the buttons appear or disappear, the space remains unchanged, only the buttons are removed but not the space they occupy when they are visible.

So, all the other applets remain in their place.

Thanks, if I find a way to do it , I'll post the solution but the problem is I have very little experience and the documentation around Cinnamon is very poor.

Some suggestions

Thanks for this nice applet, still checking if it has memory leak but working ok for me.

I have some suggestions:

  • When allowed, left click should unmaximize the window, only dragging will move the window
  • Add 'minimize' to action list when middle/left click
  • Right click can open up a menu similar to the left click of this applet: http://cinnamon-spices.linuxmint.com/applets/view/87 (maybe just add to the context menu so we can still configure the applet if needed)
  • Ability to add some spacing to the icon
  • Ability to make the title bold
  • Ability to add certain CSS class to the title

Thanks and please keep up the good work.

Active windows maximized

If the option "Show applet(active buttons-tile-icon on this istance) only active window maximized" is enabled at cinnamon start up, the applet doesn't appera/disappear when i switch window.
This issue doesn't happen if the option is disabled at cinnamon start up and enabled later.

Applet is displayed on empty desktop. Bug.

Hi. I select option in applet settings to hide applet when no window is maximized. It works fine when I have an active window.

But when I close all windows, it appears on empty desktop.

Hidding buttons when no window is active (or focused)

Hi, I am very enthusiastic about your project. And I was wandering if you have any plans to include an option to hide the window buttons (and title, but this at least I managed to do already) when there are no windows focused/active/selected.

Because it looks weird when the buttons appear in the panel even if there are no windows opened.

I tried to edit the js myself, but coudn't do it, I haven't programmed in Java yet.

Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,

Gastón.
