dev6's Issues

Support every IMU orientation

Or well, every possible one that is aligned with the axes at least.

At the moment, with the X/Y toggle I believe these are the only configurations supported (I suppose that if you don't care about the z-axis, "invert roll" may also equal to ones with the board flipped over?)

Though it would be nice if these were also accounted for.
.. yes this is kinda because my BNO is currently mounted in the bottommost right way (because of reasons, not last that outside of here it doesn't seem like anybody took the bother to ever document there was a preferential setup).
But even though I could fix that without too much bother (the biggest annoyance is probably just praying to the god of cables for nothing to come loose at the slightest touch, when I open the box with all the controlling logic inside), I feel like it's backwards to require "flexibility" on the side of the hardware when it's something that could easily be accounted by software.

p.s. speaking of which, I see the static version of the SparkFun library that you ship is 3 years old by now. You might want to update it perhaps? (or maybe you could check the new one by Adafruit, for as much as idk what the pros and cons would be)

Vechicles database with default dimensions

This is where super long shot feature requests are placed, right?

So, as title.. it would be nice if there was some button/sub-menu in the ConfigVehicle or FormConfig panel, with a list of tractors models that you can select to automatically have the right measurements (I suppose some of them could even be directly pulled from the specs).
Of course it could only work on a best effort basis, and with thousands of possible entries it's not something that should or could exist within the codebase itself. Maybe people could upload their xml configurations on a portal that takes care of creating a single global file, or perhaps they could just post their values in a forum thread? (like, there aren't more than 4 or 5 entries that could be reasonably shared.. one of them just being the name)

And yes, of course this is no biggie and people can always pull out some good ol' measuring tape.
Though, you know.. My 2c is that they can be lazy (if not any because especially turn radius can be quite the chore to figure out accurately, if you just have one pair of hands available).
Perhaps even the antenna height could be prefilled out of the box this way, with the working assumption that it's most likely to be placed on top of the cab.

Don't use default Windows sounds

So, long story short, I was testing auto-steer when I wished for the press of the physical steer button that engages it to also trigger an audio notification (like the one that plays when you click the on-screen button that "arms" the system, on the bottom right of the AOG window)
And then while I was tinkering with it in the barn, in a "cold situation" with the engine turned off.. I eventually figured out that this does actually already happen, it's just that the sound is just *so* monumentally quieter.
I assume because you use SystemSounds.Question as opposed to your own SteerOn.wav, and due to some dynamic range psychoacoustics magic the perceived volume that comes out is pretty different.

Loudness equalization kinda helps then, but so it does with every other sound including the later (to the point that my FZ-G1 speakers almost saturate/creak with it now).

Hence I believe you could use your own jingles for everything (or idk if some other one built-in with Windows couldn't be luckier)
Btw I found out that there is a pretty neat OS mechanism to register and customize sounds of .NET applications (which would allow for craftier users to do what they want with them.. all the while you not having to write another control panel page).
