Hello, as there are already a slew of other mixin-based performance improvements that take some trial and error to work together properly, and since the mod is crashing on startup with the following mods enabled ( see https://paste.ee/p/YBrbi) I wanted to know if you had any familiarity with the following

1. bugtorch

2. coretweaks

3. flying cullers

4. hodgepodge

5. mixingasm

All these project are on github (except for astrotib's flying cullers, which is currently on gitlab), but I can provide links if needed.
All these mods do work together, but I am aware that each new mixin-based edit brings a slew of problems since they're developed by different people working on different projects with no particular inter-mod compatibility except for some of them (mixingasm itself being a forced compat mod for several other mixin mods).

Hello, I know this has nothing to do with your mod, however I have seen other people asking to fix bugs in the original game so I recently encountered bug MC-1794 and can't fix it so I would like this one the mod could do this, I don’t know if it’s possible.

In general, I found such a thing, it's called something like "Z fighting" or something like that.
Can be seen on enchanted items

Same with shaders:

In 1.8 and above, there is no such thing (I did not find what a vanilla bug is, but I was told that it is there)

Well, I even installed 3060 ti and the situation is this.
In the game, it seems that at first glance there is no, but if you poke your eyes at the monitor, you can notice small flashing dots.

is absent, and

is likely related.

The "Triangulator is not calibrated" message comes up, so the mod does load, it's just the mixins that don't get applied.

I have a really big mod list though. I will try to reduce it to the minimum.
Could it be optifine?

If smooth lighting is enabled, the mod reduces the framerate while chunks are being updated. This happens even with all options in the config disabled. When smooth lighting is turned off however, the mod doesn't affect framerate.

Comparing profiler snapshots, I have found renderStandardBlockWithAmbientOcclusion to be the culprit: its CPU time increases from 10% to 25% with Triangulator. So the issue seems to be caused by @embeddedt's smooth lighting fix.

I don't think the log will help, considering it's a vanilla bug.

Description

Very hard lines between various bits of lighting along edges, especially noticeable in a white box.

Close look to make it easier to see:

It's only really noticeable in the dark, possibly entirely gone if in direct sunlight.

It IS still visible at night, though.

I know this isn't a bug with Triangulator, but I'm hoping it's something the mod might be able to fix given its fix of ambient occlusion.

This only happens when the game is in fullscreen.

After creating a new world with Triangulator v1.4.0 and ExtrabiomesXL v3.16.4 (latest on CF), you can find a large tree with glitched leaves:

ExtrabiomesXL is only required for the seed to work/tree to appear, after removing it (so it's only Triangulator and its dependencies left), the issue persists.
The same happens on Triangulator v1.3.2.
I'm using an AMD RX 590 GPU, running the latest driver version.

#22 shows an identical render issue but it was assumed it was an issue with TFC+. I just loaded triangulators with vanilla minecraft and it seems like minecraft ice and stained glass have this rendering issue with water.

Description

Testing on an empty instance, the latest version of Triangulator crashes at startup with optifine added. I've attached the crash.

Edit:
This, for some reason, does not seem to happen with Optifine version E7. Testing with Tesselator 1.4.3 + Optifine E7, there are no crashes. This is a problem, because E7 has exponentially less cross-mod compatibility than D6 and a much lower performance improvement because of the merging with the Shaders mod ages ago (Optifine D6 is the last version of the mod for 1.7 before the merge and thus the go-to version for anyone who doesn't use shaders.)

Just updated FTweaks to alpha5, with FPLib .10.11 and GStation 0.3.5, the game crashes at startup citing a critical injection failure and slew of other errors. The error doesn't present itself with alpha4.

I deleted the falsepattern folder, but it's still spewing pagefuls of errors in the console about it can't read a class file correctly in joml.jar every time, which means it's an upstream problem.
There's no crash, but it's still an issue.

The mod implements multiple separate features, but currently there is no way to individually disable them. It would be nice if a config was added that let you do this.

As for motivation, there are several cases when the user may want to not have the triangulation feature enabled, but keep the rest of the fixes:

1. With my laptop's integrated graphics card (Intel HD Graphics 630), the triangulation has a negative impact on performance. I tested this in an instance with no other mods, on a superflat world with a render distance of 12, looking downwards from Y=208.
   I got 215 FPS without the mod, and 156 with it. I believe @tyrael93's main GPU has comparable specs, so he can provide additional benchmarks on the matter if they are needed.
2. Some mods may be incompatible with triangulation. I can't name any that have been publicly released, but at the moment this is the case with a mod I'm working on.
