I think there is an issue with the deliver method. In the following piece of code the puts following a call to deliver_message doesn't get executed. I tried the same with mail = Mailer.create_message() and then Mailer.deliver(mail) but that doesn't seem to work either. Could this be a deprecated call in the newer version? Although I checked and the syntax seems to be the same.

Mailer.deliver_message(
{:recipients => email,
:subject => subject,
:body => body
})
puts "~~~~~~~~~~~mail has been delivered"
