Import CVS history as git history

A bunch of the subdirectories have CVS directories in them; it would be cool if that CVS history could be imported as git history in this repo. I'm not sure if that's possible without wiping it out and starting afresh, though...

case sensitivity

The following filenames conflict solely on case, leading my local git client to try to replace one with the other when I check it out:

  • in mail_cmds-1/mail, Mail.1 and mail.1
  • in ntp-1/ntp/scripts/wininstall/instsrc, Instsrv.mak and instsrv.mak
  • in objc-1, HashTable.h and hashtable.h, and HashTable.m and hashtable.m
  • in perl-1/perl, Configure and configure

It would be nice to be able to check this repo out without GitHub immediately asking me if I want to fork due to changes it has detected. Failing that, the requirement for a case-sensitive filesystem could at least be documented.
