docker-compose Quickstart

EVEmu can be run with Docker Compose:

git clone https://github.com/EvEmu-Project/evemu_Crucible.git
cd evemu_Crucible
docker-compose -p evemu up --build -d

NOTE: Add --build to the docker-compose up command to force a rebuild of the source. This is useful when making code changes.

By changing build: to image: in docker-compose.yml, you can use the prebuilt images available.

Configuraiton files are stored in the evemu_config volume. These can be modified and will persist across restarts.

To shutdown EVEmu:

docker-compose -p evemu down

Building with Docker

EVEmu can now be built with docker to ensure a consistent dependency base. This can be done by executing docker build . in the root directory. It is highly suggested to build EVEmu from the latest release available on the releases page.

The Personal Assets window spins forever

Can warp sideways

I have on numerous occasions achieved warp at a 45+ deg angle. This is most prevalent on massive ships such as an Orca, Rorqual, Charon. This happens most often after warping to a location and not decelerating properly (see zhyrohaad/AlasiyaEvE#38 , zhyrohaad/AlasiyaEvE#80)

In my latest case, when the Rorqual approached my Hulk and her jetcan, on the Hulk's screen, the Rorqual got bumped by the can, and started spinning in place, as where on the Rorqual's screen, I came to a complete stop. It's likely that the server and client disagreed as to my orientation when clicked warp to the station, and so it appears on the client that I'm warping sideways. This probably only noticeable on huge ships because smaller ships don't take half a minute to align...

Locate character button causes segfault

Locate Character button causes segfault when depressed in the agent conversation dialog box.

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. open agent conversation dialog with Dakiribi Yamaden in Mehatoor system
  2. depress locate character button

Expected behavior
Unsure expected behavior of the button but should not cause segfault when executed

Objects not visible to the second ship to arrive at a location already occupied by another pilot.

Describe the bug
When a ship stops at a location, Asteroid field and a second ship flys to the same field, the second ship does not see / scan any of the asteroids in that field, same if there are "bad guys" attacking the first ship, the second ship does not see the targets or anything at the location

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
launch 2 accounts
fly one ship to an asteroid field
wait a few seconds,
fly the second ship (from the second account) to the same location

Expected behavior
All asteroids, targetable objects should be visible to ALL ships at a location

I am running both accounts from the same computer, could be thats the issue? not sure as I only have 1 usable system for both accounts. at the time I tested this both pilots were teamed.

Notepad not saving notes

Autopilot disables itself

Describe the bug
Autopilot disables itself after performing a jump. Ship appears uncloaked with autopilot off.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. set destination for a random system
  2. hit autopilot button
  3. wait for ship to jump to next system

Expected behavior
Autopilot should continue on to destination without interruption.

Additional context
I do have a gap in my eve knowledge. I last played approx 2010. The autopilot in evemu warps to 0km. I thought I remember autopilot warping some distance out and then flying to gate before jumping. As to discourage AFK I assume. Did this get changed at some point?

Injecting a skill while Training Queue is open does not update listed skills

PROBLEM:
Create or buy off the market a skill book that you do not own. Right-click it in your items window and select "Inject Skill". If you have the Training queue already open showing all skills, when you inject this new one, it does not update the list of skills such that you can start training this skill.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Open your character's Training Queue
  2. Create or buy off the market a skill book that you do not own
  3. Right click the skill book in your items/cargo window and select "Inject Skill"
  4. Notice how the new skill does not appear in the category it was supposed to show up within

WORKAROUND:
The only way to make this appear in the Training Queue list is to click the "Skills that fit within the queue's timeframe" checkbox in the upper left corner of the Training Queue window. Click it enough times to cycle it once through checked then finally to unchecked. If you had it already unchecked, then just click it twice. Any invisible injected skills will now appear in the Training Queue list of skills that can be trained.

PROPOSED SOLUTIONS:
I have no idea why this is not working. Perhaps a missing or wrongly formatted packet regarding skill Injection or something like that?

lightskipping: exiting warp with CRAZY speed

Get in a Hulk, and warp to a distant asteroid field. As you are approaching, click an asteroid that's mostly infront of you. Start clicking the "APPROACH" button. it will be greyed out while truly in warp, but you gain control of your ship at some point during "deceleration". If you click as soon as possible, you will exit warp with a velocity of 8000-10000 m/s, and overshoot the asteroid field by about 45km!

Auto lock from spawn wont reset. Spawn disappears.

When warping to a asteroid belt and getting auto targeted by a spawn the resulting lock will not reset after the spawn disappears. The spawn just disappears.

  1. undock in noob ship
  2. fly to asteroid belt
  3. get auto locked
  4. activate blaster
  5. before your ship pops. spawn disappears.
  6. try to lock asteroid.
  7. ship cannot handle more than one target at a time.

Expected behavior
reset of lock so you can target the asteroid and not having the spawn disappear. Not sure if them disappearing is normal behavior.

I took my Orca out and got shot at. In space, it says I have 57% out of 8625 armor remaining (unmodified by any mods). In the repair window, it says I have 49244/52900 HP (6.9%), which doesn't match any numbers I see in the fitting screen? (Ideally I'd expect this number to be armor + structure: 66,125)

My estimated repair bill in the Repair Shop: 709,517,349 ISK, which is about what the ship costs in total! This is either extortion or we're getting quotes in Zimbabwe Dollars.

Creating Titans inside Station using .create GM command break

PROBLEM:
When using the .create GM command while inside of a Station or Outpost to spawn a Titan causes your character to completely be unusable after a logoff then login.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Log into an account and log into the game with a character
  2. Use the .create for any of the four Titan ships when in a Station or Outpost
  3. Log off then log back in. Your character will be completely unusable.

WORKAROUND:
There are no known workarounds for this problem except, of course, not to create Titans in stations!

PROPOSED SOLUTIONS:
While we don't have any idea why this does not work on Crucible server but did on Incursion server, I propose the solution to prevent using .create GM command with any of the four Titan ships while either docked into a station or outpost.

[ORG] Convert evemuproject to Organization

Once we find the owner of the evemuproject account, we should convert it to an organization account so things like Projects can be organized across the repository and organization.

I am working on getting releases (numbered versions) going again with version 0.7.9. I would like to have a project board to track changes and commits / pull requests that could be part of the release.

Looting jetcans breaks cargoholds

Start jetcan mining with a Hulk. Fly a Rorqual out to pick up the jetcan, who was not in a fleet with the Hulk. The Rorqual opened the jetcan, and hit "Loot All". nothing appeared to happen. Attempted to move all stacks and single stacks to the ore hold. Closing and reopening the jetcan with the Hulk shows that it is empty, but the Rorqual still sees that it's full. After much faffing about, hitting "Loot All" multiple times in a row with the Rorqual now gives an error message that there isn't enough space to transfer the whole jetcan, despite my cargoholds all appearing empty.

After docking up, using "View Contents" show that my cargo hold has the ore, but the UI shows the Cargo Hold is empty.

Pods wont jump to 0

ok found a small Bug, When warping to 0 some times it work and some times dose not and when it dose not work it will not jump either or attempt to get close to jump

Shield Extenders are not operational in space

Equip a rifter with 3x Caldari Navy Medium Shield Extenders (a difficulty fit, but proves this point).

The Rifter should have about 4000 shield HP now (about 10x normal). Undock, and you'll have about 400, as if you had no shield extenders. Combat shows this to be the case as well.

put 2M trit in your orca's cargo hold and 4M in your corp hanger. drag to fill your cargo hold, it suggests moving 1,750,000. move 1,7499,999 instead, leaving 0.1 m^3 and two stacks. The "Groups" tab in the Market window is on siesta

The first time you open the groups panel in the Market window, it fails to display. I see a stray exception:

Wait about 15-30 seconds, and the panel will eventually display, or close and reopen the window. Once loaded, subsequent attempts work fine.
