Census

Orphaned Pie Charts

After generating pie charts for one representative, selecting a new representative results in the pie charts from the previous event becoming orphaned and remaining in the view.

Vote Breakdown - Search

(Enhancement) Either search the listing of 50 latest or allow search for a specific Bill or Issue that is available from the voting API.

Pie Charts

Add pie charts for break down of latest votes, rather than numbers. Easier to read/understand.

Last voted at null dates

When last voted at date is null, date is showing 1969. Make it fail gracefully.

Tooltips on social icons should match format of tooltips on committee member pictures

Wire Social Media Icons

Social media icons need to get wired into values in the ajax response for selected legislators

Refactor ZipCode Result Graphics Layer Approach

When searching by zip code, one or more legislators may get returned requiring an undefined number of info cards to be displayed. Currently, the app UI allows for 3 legislator info cards as hard-coded in the index.html page. The info cards should be dynamically rendered to a template and appended to the legislators div.

Social Improvements

Improve the social nature of the application by adding social media and other contact resources available in the congress api

Click events work for Hawaii, but there is no congressional boundary and no mouseover

Scroll Wheel Conflict

Page layout requires scrolling down after a legislator is selected and their details and voting record report is revealed. Scrolling with a mouse wheel causes map to zoom while page remains in place. Need to set disableScrollWheelZoom() in map.on('load') event.

Long State Name Breaks Table in Senator panels

With Or Against Party (Independents)

Since Bernie (I-VT) is from my home state, I admit there's some bias here. The With or Against Party section should probably be grayed out or blocked for Indepedent congresspersons. Unless you're basing this on a tag of "who he caucuses with" in which case I think it's fine.
