jogg - Application runner

jogg is an application launcher/command runner for wlroots-based Wayland compositors. The pun in the name is probably obvious.

Motivation

Given that there already exist launchers that target the same audience, what makes this one special? Well, not much, other than NIH. I’ve been using Fuzzel for a while and it’s great, but it lacked mouse support, so I decided to employ my rusted GTK skills and make my own.

jogg's Issues

Implement command execution

Currently, jogg is only capable of launching applications from desktop files, but another advertised feature is executing commands as if from a shell.

Implement desktop actions

Would be nice to have the ability to search through and execute Desktop Actions that are present in desktop entries

Include desktop entry comments next to search results

Sometimes it's nice to know the description of whatever you are trying to run, especially if it's not a frequently used application
