I can not replicate this. What do you mean with "not latched". Everytime I click a marker ops button something happens, even
This is what I did
Enable 30MHz CAL signal
Set center 30MHz, span 20kHz
wait for single scan to complete
MARKER/SEARCH /PEAK
MARKER/OPS/REF LEVEL
and ref level is set to -20dBm

Thanks for the video. It helps a lot.
As the markers cover possibly the top of the screen, the ref level is set to have the marker to be inside the second grid from the top with the reference level rounded to the scale value
You see this happening as the ref level field turns green. You do not see any change in ref level as it was already at the right level
You are the first to request the ref level to be exactly set to the marker level.
I will setup a poll on the user forum to ask what behavior is preferred.

You have to provide substantial reverse isolation at the LO output to have some dynamic range.
But there is another problem
To reach the required resolution both the LO and the IF are "tuned" where the LO does the course steps.
So you never can scan a small span wit a TG using a fixed IF frequency source
So i do not recommend the add a TG unless for large spans and at an offset tuning to test frequency conversion devices.
Can I suggest you join the https://groups.io/g/tinysa/messages forum so more people interested in TG can join?
