Gatee

Gatee is a simple terminal-based file explorer.

#####Compilation commands: Initially compile Gatee files by using the following command.

$ make gatee

If you change the source files, you can 'clean' the build related files with:

$ make clean

#####Running Gatee:

Use the following command to run Gatee:

$ . runGatee

Use arrow buttons to naviage the files. Press Enter button to make the toggled item the current directory.

#####Exiting Gatee:

Press FN + F1 to exit.

gatee's Issues

Implement going back to the parent directory

I will add a dummy function that will be called when delete key is pressed.

Implement directory changing

Make menu size adaptive

Scrolling works.
However, if the ncurses menu is larger then the terminal window, then it lags.
The function that sets the menu size is:

set_menu_format(menu, 45,1);

For instance try it with 40 and 80, and see the difference.

Gatee doesn't go back to the nano'd directory after exiting nano.

Print the current directory

Implement opening files in nano

Repair pattern matching

Pattern matching is broken due to addition of "< " and " " prefixes.

Modify menu size & colors

Turkish (Accented) character problem

File/Folder names with Turkish characters are not shown on the list.

Supress the compilation warnings

Gatee sometimes uses a lot of CPU after it is terminated

This might be caused because of exiting without FN + F1 (i.e. crash)
