Error: Modal is transitioning

Followed the README steps to setup in a Rails 5.0 application, and modal prompt only opens after a request, so long as the user is within the warning time.

Otherwise, if the prompter attempts to showTimeoutWarningPrompt or showTimedOutPrompt, the modal does not show, and this error occurs in the console:
