prusa_profiles's Introduction

prusa_profiles

Repo to store profiles for Prusa 3D Printers

I will try to maintain it as much as I can. Feel free to suggest additional profiles via pull request or find me in Facebook's Prusa group.

Since this seems to be the common issue: please make sure that you either download archive of all the files, make git clone or download a raw file. Attempting to copy-paste the file or downloading a file from regular github view (non-raw) will result in errors while importing.

Compatibility of MK3S v3.9.0 firmware and pretty PLA profiles

Thanks for keeping these profiles up to date. I am running the most recent MK3S firmware (v3.9.0) with linear advance 1.5. I am assuming this means I should be using the Pretty PLA v4.5 profile for linear advance 1.5 rather than the v4.0 profile, based on the description here. Is there any significant difference between the two for the v3.9.0 firmware or can I use either? Similarly, I would like to use the Pretty Litho PLA and Pretty Litho PETG profiles. Are these compatible with v3.9.0 firmware even though they aren't indicated for use with linear advance 1.5?

Temp drop on layer change

I'm using Pretty PLA V3 and after layer 1 the temp drops 5c and the fan comes on full, The combination makes the temp drop quite fast and below setpoint.

Maybe Chris could consider dropping the temp on layer 2 after the fan is on, Or fan 50% and then layer 3 100%

I got an error when importing "MK3 Pretty PETG"

When i try to import the latest of your "MK3 Pretty PETG" config file, i get an error loading the configuration file.

My version Slic3r is the Prusa Edition v1.40.0.

I can't copy the error, so i only have a screenshot and i don't know if there is any log files.

MK3 Speed Profile PLA inhibits supports?

Very strange thing. As you can see from the attached screenshots, Setting Printer to "MK3 Speed Profile PLA" disables supports. All other config parameters are the same.

Any hints as to what might be awry?

Does not support finer layers or supports

Hello,

I am testing the Pretty filament profiles in Slic3r. They do seem to make a difference in the 0.2mm prints, thanks for that!

However I notice that with the Pretty PETG filament profile active, I am unable to build supports. They simply do not appear on the part. Likewise, finer layers than 0.20mm can be selected, but also do not appear on the part.

Is this intentional? Am I doing something wrong? Thanks!

Prusa Slicer 2.1.0 Support Material Not Generating

Having the following issues:

  • No support material is being generated, have tried multiple different profiles with no luck

  • If you make changes to any of the options, it never reverts back to allowing you to re slice the model

dont load

Hi, i am using Slic3r prusa edition 1.40.1+win64 and i cannot load your profiles. I always get

(7): ´=´character not found in line

error

Advice for other nozzle sizes

Do the maintainers have any guidance for using these profiles with non .4 mm nozzles? .6 and .25 are common alternatives. Could there be an updated or alternate README?

Which Settings are for Petg 0.6 Nozzle?

I am trying to print using your settings for a 0.6 nozzle using PETG, possibly 1mm eventually, and the only parameter setup I see is vase 0.6 and I am not sure what that is going to do. Can you set up the code defining it in the title for normal prints using the 0.4 and a separate one for 0.6 and so on if you kindly keep adding more. Your code is fantastic btw! I just want to be able to print faster and I am unsure of what code to change in the overall PrusaSlic3r.
