This is a collection of double-resolution sprites for Endless Sky. To make use of these sprites, copy this folder into one of the two plugins folders. These sprites will only be used if:

• you have set the "zoom factor" to higher than 100% in the preferences, or
• you have a high-DPI monitor.

High-DPI mode has only been tested on Mac OS X.

Holes in Dreadnought sprite

I thought you said you would remove them. Or at least from the not-high-dpi sprites.

No @2x Skylance Projectile

Title says it all.

Missing UI sprites

The following sprites have a regular resolution version, but are missing their high dpi version:

• The Ka'het MHD Launcher ammo icon.
• The buttonless side panel UI element used when choosing a start.
• The scenario panel under the _menu folder.

Enable HiDPI on Win10

Hi, to everyone involved on this game

Really nice, so I was checking out the game (very nice, btw) and found this pack.

I downloaded to "user\AppData\Roaming\endless-sky\plugins\endless-sky-high-dpi" folder, it appears correctly on Endless sky.

But it says it's disable, how to enable it? (The plugin says only mac tested.)

My computers is a:
MS Surface PRO3, Intel i5-4300U 8GB RAM, Intel HD Graphics 4400
OS: MS Win 10 Pro Version 2004 Build 19041.264.
Screen: 2160x1440 @ 13" In.

3D Model sources?

Hi there!

Given that the sprites in the game are rendered in both top-down and side-front angles (for the shop icons) leads me to assume these aren't hand drawn but rendered 3D models. If I'm right about that, is there a repository of them or does somebody keep them somewhere? I haven't found it here on github.

I'm asking because frankly it would be rather cool to 3D print some of these ships. One of my hobbies is finding and repairing spaceship meshes for printing (and then printing and painting them ofc), so I'd be up to prepare at least a few of the more notable ones for printing and put them up on thingiverse for everyone else if it's alright with you guys.

libpng warning: iCCP: CRC error with images/ship/[email protected]

The new images/ship/[email protected] seems to have the wrong checksum for the iCCP chunk

can't pull high-dpi Marauder variant sprites

libpng warning: Interlace handling should be turned on when using png_read_image

I am getting this error quite often. My libpng is up-to-date, some sources I see online say using different png types or non-interlaced images will resolve this.

Anyone else have this issue, or a simple fix?

upside down menu sprites

The planet an moon sprites in the menu are upside down in the plugin folder. It looks very strange when you first see it.

Add endless-sky-3d-models LFS-enabled respository for storing 3d artwork

This is a request to add a (Git LFS (Large File Support) enabled) endless-sky-3dmodels or endless-sky-artwork repository that stores the 3D models of ships and outfits and other 3D original models in the game.

Models currently appear to be stored in Google drive, but having a single set of tools (Git, Github) to upload all relevant source data would decrease the risk of models (or intermediate versions of models) getting lost.

This request can probably only be handled by @endless-sky, because I think he is the only one with permissions to create repositories here.

Coalition engine flares do not have high DPI versions

There are no images/projectile/ * @2x.png versions of the following weapons:

• attractor
• detainer
• fire-lance
• flamethrower
• ion rain
• moonbeam
• plasma
• proton
• rainbow
• repulsor
• skylance

High-DPI "large" plasma and ion flares are labeled "big"
