lpc's Issues

Possibly write on the side what each animation means

Hey this is an amazing tool!
I was wondering if you could write on the website or something on what every animation on the sheet means.
for example the add "front walk" for the animation that is front walking
It can be a little hard to tell to make sure what everything does
thank you!

Crouch and crawl poses and movement animation [REQUEST]

Hi,

I didn't know where to ask.

I just found this LPC and I think it is awesome. I don't know if you are taking requests, but if you are, will you able to make new poses for when the player is crouching and another for when the player is crawling.

FYI: opengameart abused attributions

Hi,

Just a heads up, MedicineStorm modified your commission's attribution without your consent.

https://opengameart.org/content/lpc-revised-elders

I've used both spritesets (LPC and yours), and your clothes are totally different and incompatible with the original, so I'm pretty sure you weren't using BenCreating's nor Redshrike's clothing, all your clothes are original and genuine (and much better than the original, may I add, only if there were some fantasy style armors).

Therefore I don't think it's okay to credit them for something that's entirely your work. Just to let you know.

Cheers,
bzt

[REQUEST] Script for generating spritesheets with weapons.

I don't know exactly where to ask, but I also wanted to say that your work is very good!
Anyway, I've noticed the spritesheets for weapons and for the bodies aren't compatible. How can I add a weapon to a body Spritesheet?
Thanks!

Accessing it

How do you access the LPC generator once you get the github link, and which software is used ? (Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, etc)

Clothes for Children.

Are there any clothes for the children? I cannot find any in here. I love the asset, I am going to use it to prototype my game, if not in game.

Please make climb 6 frames long

Dear Eliza,

Would it be possible to expand the climb animation to 6 frames? (Currently all the other LPC animations have at least 6 frames.)

I'm suggesting something like this (please forgive the quality, I'm not a pixel artist. The point is, I've added an extra frame and mirrored it).
Climb
Keep up the good work! I can hardly wait to see the missing animations! For now, I'm using classic LPC, but I'm eager to replace those with your LPC Revised.

Thanks,
bzt

Credits issues

Thanks for putting so much work into the credits. A few issues throughout that should be addressed:

  • "DRM waived" is not a phrase that means anything to anyone outside of a select few people on OpenGameArt.org, and it's not explained clearly anywhere here. I would suggest either using more precise language denoting the specific clauses of the CC-BY-SA license that are waived, or adopting the OGA-BY 3.0 license. At the very least, say something like "clauses of the CC-BY-SA license prohibiting use of DRM are waived," but even that should be expounded upon somewhere. I would favor explicitly adopting the OGA-BY license, though this would be a change as the current repo has a share-alike requirement (which OGA-BY would obviously eliminate). You can also link to the OGA-BY FAQ https://opengameart.org/content/oga-by-30-faq or include a similar document to explain to end-users why you are bothering with this, because I suspect most people will not be aware of this issue at all.

  • CC-BY 3.0 and CC-BY-SA 3.0 require attribution to include the title of the work, so this should probably be tracked in the various Credits.txt files

  • Your main Credits.txt file does not contain sufficient information to satisfy the requirements of the assets you are sub-licensing. CC-BY{-SA} 3.0 and -4.0 require the URL and CC-BY{-SA} 3.0 requires the title of the asset as well. If we're suggesting something to be copied into the end-user's credits, it should probably be more comprehensive. It doesn't need to include every detail of who did what, but it should include all the relevant URLs and titles. It should also include a link to the license text, which is required by CC-BY-*. What about something like this:

LPC Revised Assets

ARTISTS: Eliza Wyatt, Lanea Zimmerman (Sharm), BlueCarrot16, YuriNikolai
SOURCE: http://github.com/ElizaWy/LPC
LICENSE: Creative Commons Attribution Share-Alike License version 3.0 (CC-BY-SA 3.0) https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/, where clauses > in 4.a and 4.b.IV pertaining to the use of effective technological measures (i.e. DRM) are waived.

BASED ON:

See http://github.com/ElizaWy/LPC for detailed attribution information

The "Based on" session could be built up from your other Credits.txt files with a script and de-duplicated, so it need not be manually maintained separately.
