As user I'm able to use next REST API:
POST:/maps/new - create new map
SAVE:/maps/{id} - save the map by id
REMOVE:/maps/{id} - remove the map by id

as user I can delete any block including its children expect of root block.
The x button is displayed on hover for each block expect of root block.
After the click each child block should be removed with the selected one.

Possible reason: the calculation of the offset wrongs if the width is not an even number since left: 50% can be +- 1 px.
