Rekognition failed to detect the uploaded image

AWS Rekognition was failing to read the image file and returned an error which stated.

botocore.errorfactory.InvalidImageFormatException: An error occurred (InvalidImageFormatException) when calling the DetectFaces operation: Request has invalid image format

This was due to the fact that the upload_to_s3.py file was uploading files as an object. Which affected the format of the image causing Rekognition to fail on the facial detection. This was fixed by changing the code snippet from uploading the file as an object to uploading it raw and preserving the type.
