When I am fixing compilation issues I am using the following flow:

• Run go vet ./...
• See the list of files with errors
• Navigate to a file from the list with vim
• Now, if the vim status line shows the line number of the first error I can navigate directly to it instead of looking at the potentially huge list and searching for that particular line to see the error number.

We had this somehow working in the garden config but we used the vim-airline/vim-airline plugin instead of itchyny/lightline.vim

Whitespaces are getting copied when performing copy with Ctrl-C which is annoying when pasting. I think that it should be up to formatters to deal with them and linters to validate them for that whitespace-picky language.

Whitespaces can be currently toggled with F3, but turning them off by default is a change we need to vote for.

That is a default change that we should vote for.

Generally I don't really like automatic layout changes. Also, when I am looking for something I am peeking at various files and having top open the nerd tree after every file opened again is annoying me.

When pairing it is also the case to tell your pair look at this code at line X. When vim shows line numbers relative to the cursor rather than absolute line numbers saying that is a bit tricky. Therefore I would suggest to show absolute line numbers that do not change while going up and down.

I find bracket and quotes autocompletion annoying as it never works the way I feel they should :)

If someone finds the autocompletion useful though, please shout - I am perfectly fine living with it.

I think that the vagrant branch is now usable and can be merged into master. Note that this would requires some work on the eirini-station as it checks out the vagrant branch by default.
