FireBug reports me this error and the grid doesn't load. It points to Ext.DomHelper=function() ... This is after adding the export element in the tbar.
I just followed the instructions as mentioned in the README file to include the Exporter. I am using extjs 3.2.0 version.

when i try to use this component, i receive the following error:

this.btnEl is undefined

the error is starts here:
anonymous(Object dom=td#ext-gen49.x-toolbar-cell id=ext-gen49, Object name=position)
Exporter-all.js (line 189)

I am trying to export a GroupingStore using the following:

new Ext.ux.Exporter.Button({component: xref_grid})

I have tried to debug what is going on but don't know enough js to be useful.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Why does the extjs grid exporter export the hidden columns also? Is there any way to disable that?

I download Exporter and import into my project, but it seems that it can not work. I got errors below:
Uncaught TypeError: Object # has no method 'reg' Exporter-all.js:204
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot call method 'substring' of undefined ext-all.js:15

I was unable to get the example to export a working file.

Neither Excel or Open Office could open the xls file.

Excel gives me this message:

Problems came up in the following ares during load:
*Uknown
*Style

Checking the Excel log files have shown this:

XML ERROR in ExcelWorkbook description
REASON: Missing Tag
FILE: download.xls:users:stotes:desktop:download.xls
GROUP: Styles
TAG: Style
ATTRIB: ID

Open office wants to import as a text file and shows the same errors.

I have attempted to export with:
Chrome 12
Firefox 3.6 - 5.1
Safari 4 - 5.1

Strangely enough I was able to use this extension in my application roughly 6 months ago without issues.

Any help would be most appreciated.
