Getting Started

These instructions will help you set up and run the project on your local machine for development and testing purposes.

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.x
  • Virtual Environment (recommended)
  • Django
  • ...

Installing

Follow these steps to get a development environment up and running.

  1. Clone the repository:

    git clone https://github.com/alzywelzy/sweetheart.git
  2. Move into the project directory:

    cd sweetheart
  3. Create a virtual environment:

    python -m venv .venv
  4. Activate the virtual environment:

    source .venv/bin/activate
  5. Install the project dependencies:

    pip install -r requirements.txt
  6. Apply initial database migrations:

     python manage.py migrate
  7. Run the development server:

    python manage.py runserver
