equation issue or algorithm ?

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. go on http://applicationanimaths.appspot.com/
2. skip dialogbox to reach manipulation context
3. select and drag the `-8` onto the `3` (orange box)
4. the dialogbox ask how many `-(3-8)-8` do, which is wrong.
5. If input the result is `-5` then it valid, which is correct, but the
resulting equation isn't (-8).

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
4. It should ask for 3-8.
5. the result should be -5
