wifitally's Issues

Create stand-alone executable

Create a single stand-alone executable for the tally bridge software so users don't need python and its dependencies installed to operate tally lights.

How to make this work with Blackmagic ATEM?

This project has been designed and tested with both vMix and Wirecast. However the documentation mentions that this could also be used with an ATEM (which hasn't been tested). A link is provided to another project which has some Arduino code that acts as a gateway between an ATEM and a tally light system. That transmitter project could be used with these tally lights after some minor code changes, specifically the network packet transmission.

If you successfully connect this project with an ATEM please post a follow-up here.

Will this work with a Node MCU?

This project will likely work with a Node MCU (has not been tested). The Huzzah was used because it didn't require any additional components beyond the items needed to build the tally light, it is FCC certified, and it was compact.

In this projects schematic I've included the schematic for the Huzzah, compare it against the Node MCU schematic to determine what might need to be added or changed to make this project function as designed.

Please post success stories in this thread with modification details.

Cannot connect to Vmix tally

Hi, thanks for creating this project, it is exactly the thing I needed!

However I do have a problem to connect to Vmix. It all starts up fine and I can access the config page which is set up with my info. And the info at the bottom is correct.
In the serial monitor I get this:

Connecting to vMix host: MYHOSTNAME
Connected!
Subscribe to Tally

Which continues to repeat.
I did have some issues with my DNS (pihole), where I got a "FAILED!", which I fixed so now it seems to be able to reach the vmix host computer. I have tried with a hostname and also the IP address. I can also access the vmix computer and the /tally page using another wifi device to display the tally.

Is there something else I need to configure, in Vmix or elsewhere?

Do not do libraries

Hello
I was compiling the program. But these libraries are not: #include <StreamString.h> and #include <FS.h> and #include <WiFiUdp.h>
Where can I find them?
